Brad is one of US SKI Team’s top mogul skiers. You’d think if he was going to bust up his front teeth it would be on the slopes, but this time Brad’s face ran into a hockey puck. He ended up loosing one tooth and having it replaced with an implant, the other was saved and reconstructed using a post and crown following a root canal. Brad also chose to have his teeth whitened prior to his final crown and implant crown. It’s not easy to match front teeth so naturally. In fact the first time it came back from the lab it was returned so Brad could have the best result. Dr Peterson was able to achieve this amazing result by using only porcelain in the restorations and working with a world class master ceramist.
Kristin first found our office when she broke an anchor tooth for a bridge replacing her upper front teeth. At that time Dr. Johnson was able to repair the existing bridge and help it last for another five years. Fast forward to 2016 and Kristin called in a panic when the other anchor tooth broke. We were able to get her in right away so she didn’t need to walk around without front teeth. We had a discussion about options and advantages of newer materials. The previous bridge was designed beautifully but at the time the technology only allowed for a metal framework under the porcelain. This technology can match okay for some people, but for the characteristics of Kristin’s teeth, it left her self conscious about her fake looking front teeth. As a result she guarded her smile and this keep her beautiful personality from shining through. In addition she had a space behind the bridge that bothered her. Kristin chose to have an all porcelain bridge made and the space filled. She is now smiling confidently!
Peter’s girlfriend had been traveling to see Dr Peterson for years, even though she lived in countries all over the world. She brought Peter in when they were visiting from Australia. Peter had modeled in his younger years but now his teeth had severely worn, chipped and discolored. He also had missing tooth on the upper right. His smile makeover included all porcelain veneers, crowns, and a bridge. No metal was needed in his restorations.
