Dr Peterson graduated with honors from University of Pacific in 2004 and spent the next year in the Prosthodontic program at the University of North Carolina. After two decades of investment in education, he is now sought after for his skill and understanding of dental cosmetics, temporomandibular joint disorder, craniofacial pain and headaches, developmental orthopedics/orthodontics, sleep dentistry, sedation, dental implants and reconstruction.
At Advanced Dentistry and Aesthetics Dr. Peterson has implemented a functional medical model for dentistry based on thorough diagnosis and treatment planning. Using a combination 3-D imaging, extensive clinical screening and patient questionnaires, our goal is to provide a higher level of care.
Dr Peterson has built a team of experienced and qualified individuals including dental personnel, physical therapists and chiropractors with the same vision of functional medical approach.

Dr. Paul Peterson is a second generation dentist. “I had the opportunity to observe first hand the great relationships my father shared with his patients. He was always focused on quality and honesty. He taught me that. It was his greatest gift to my professional career. I saw how his patients became his friends and how they trusted him. He truly had a positive impact on their lives as an exceptional dentist.”
Dr. Peterson’s Passion Driven Purpose is for continual education from the country’s leading minds with the goal to provide services that can most impact his patient’s lives. This journey shaped his career and lead him to create a practice focused on Veneers, Full Mouth Reconstruction, TMJ Disorders, Sleep Apnea, Orthodontics based in 3-D diagnosis and Orthopedic Facial Growth and Implants.
Dr. Peterson has experienced TMD, headaches, neck pain and sleep apnea first hand, he also watched family members deal with debilitating headaches and migraines. This motivated him to search out the best research and clinical practices to help his loved ones, himself, and others like them. He is uniquely qualified to relate to much of what his patients are suffering from. He spends a lot of time with each patient in diagnosis and planning to understand the full spectrum of symptoms and set goals with them for treatment success.
When it comes to esthetics Dr. Peterson prides himself on creating natural looking beauty. He will spend time discussing every aspect of smile design and tooth characteristics for each patient. He takes into account the entire face, customizing for each person, every time. He is very involved in the process start to finish to be sure our patients get the smiles they are dreaming of.
